Photo: Sunrise

Nope, that’s not a sunset. It’s an extremely rare IO sunrise picture. Take a good gander at it folks, because this may be the only time such a creature ever graces the pages of this blog. With 11 hour days and a 45 minute drive tacked on either side, we’re literally working sundown to sunup. Gee, there sure is something magical about sunrise. If I was more awake, maybe I could puzzle out what it is…

My current home base, Sparks Marina RV Park. It’s probably the fanciest RV park I’ve ever stayed in, the pads are concrete and level, the grass is fake and immaculate year round, and the bathrooms get cleaned twice a day. I wouldn’t pay for something like this myself but since Amazon is footing the bill……

This is Chance, Julie’s cat and our current third roommate. He’s a special needs kitty that Julie took home from her vet tech job when the previous owner became unable to take care of him. He has allergies, IBD, and no teeth, but he’s very sweet and loving. At 15, we wondered how he would…

Those of you who’ve been following me at least a year know that when Amazon starts piling on the overtime that the two or three hours I get that aren’t devoted to work or sleeping are devoted to eating, showering, and relaxing, and time is at a premium. Well, the Receive department is on mandatory overtime,…

On your Tahoe trip, it sounds like you did not make it to the California side. That side is my favorite “Tahoe” drive. Maybe when you have more time. Keep plugging away. Late December will soon be here. Any clue for us where you will head after Reno? Probably southern Arizona, I’m thinking.

Nope I didn’t make it to the CA side this time. Luckily I have a lot of years ahead of me in which to see it all if I don’t this trip. 🙂

I want to visit Quartzsite this year, but I don’t know for sure yet where we’ll end up. There are other factors in play.

I remember the first time I went skiing was at Tahoe. Even on the bunny slope I managed to crash into another skier. I shoulda taken some lessons first. 🙂 Fun all the same.

Good luck. It’ll be a nice reward after those long hours.

I’m happy to hear Tahoe has a bunny hill! Ouch, bet that crash hurt. Hopefully my relaxing trip doesn’t include one of those.

It really is a magical time of day, but I had to be retired before I could say I “enjoyed” the sunrise.

I got up once just to see the sunrise Jodee, on vacation in SC before I moved there. It was great, but I was so tired the rest of the day. I’m a night owl by nature, these hours are better for me than 6 am to 5:30 pm.

It was actually one of the less fun sunrises/sunsets I’ve seen while here in Reno, but it’s when I had my phone out and ready. 😉
